After a successful open beta phase of Battlefield 2142 Update 1.50 and tweaks and updates being made based on feedback on the forums we have released the final version of Battlefield 2142 Update 1.50. Servers are being updated and the client files are now available for you to update and get into the new content.
As we mentioned with the Beta release we have added a number of new features and added new content to Update 1.50

- Changed the volume control for the Commander Voice Over on request of the esports community.

Battlefield 2142 Update 1.40 with Highway Tampa Released
Following a comprehensive development and beta testing phase, the final version of Battlefield 2142 Update 1.40 is now ready for downloading and installing. This update includes the final version of Highway Tampa for Battlefield 2142, the new tank-fest map developed in co-operation with our partner Intel. We also have some fairly unique good news for people who already have the Final Beta Candidate installed - you don't have to do anything. The Final Beta Candidate public test was such a success that, following compatability testing, we're using the exact same version in this final release. The 1.40 Final Candidate Beta and 1.40 Final Update are fully compatible, you can consider them one and the same and use either on Battlefield 2142 1.4 servers.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the public betas and provided feedback, we truly appreciate your input and patience while work progressed on this update.

- Added a new map - Highway Tampa.
- Added an autosave to kit customisations. After you customise a kit and spawn in with that kit, the customisation will be automatically saved until you change it and spawn in again. Note that you must spawn in with a particular kit for it to be saved.
- Titans will now spawn up to two gunships per side
- Squad Leaders no longer have to resupply to re-equip destroyed drones

- Exploit Fix: hardcoded the time limits of Orbital and EMP strikes.
- RDX Shotgun now detonates RDX, Motion Mines, AP Mines with minimum of 2 rounds.

Just thought to let you know that we have finally moved our website to a new host/server farm. You probably have already seen it in the last days that we were offline for a longer time. Sunday morning I got spammed by my mobile phone that was reporting that all my websites and services went offline (never had something like this in 5 years). So I checked my emails and Instant Messages and had to find out that our partner and provider (SCI) will not be able anymore to host us and that I have to find a new host for all my websites and services. Which is not very easy to do within a few hours on a sunday morning because we talk about many serverpower that is required to handle this stuff, a good connection with enough bandwidth and a good latency to make several terabytes of traffic every day/week. SCI got informed by their 'Datacenter' on saturday that they will shut down everything from SCI on monday (business trouble; money; I don't know). SCI is really very sorry for this. They were a good hosting partner all the time and really spend a lot of time, energy and money into our 'tracker' sites. But because they can not guarantee that our sites will be online all the day and probably be down for a few weeks they shutted down everything from us to make backups and secure all our data (just ~50 GB) so that I can find another host.
I have bought/rented 3 servers now for our sites that I can use and which should be able to handle most of my stuff until SCI solved their problems with their datacenter or I found a new host for us (we already know where to go then). But this new server is currently driving me a little bit crazy and I am still messing around on thousands of things. Specially the updates from PHP/MySQL 4 to version 5.x are causing some problems here and there with our php scripts because some of them were coded years ago and are not php5 ready yet. Working on that ....
I am really sorry for this. I know how important it is for you to check where your buddies are playing, chat in our forums, get the latest news and sure ... check your stats. But I hope you understand that it was a big surprise for us on sunday and that it simply takes some time to transfer 4 very large and complicated websites and services around the planet. Normally I needed 1 day for 1 website in the past, yesterday I made 4 on a day, which will probably cause some trouble here and there because I did simply not have enough time yet to check and fix everything.
So if you want to help me ... report any small problem that you see on our website/forums. If you see something broken, report it so that I can fix it asap.
Spring is a time for change, when couples fall in love, the trees bloom -- and Battlefield Tracker‘s get new server hardware. That's right, we perform routine maintenance within the next hours and days and move the whole website and all our services to new web- and database servers, hosted in another datacenter (in the usa; goodbye Germany!) for better performance and availability.
You won't be able to access this website during the routine maintenance, but rest assured that we will be back as soon as possible! We have started to work on the new servers while I am posting this news article! When we think that the new servers are ready for you, this website and all our external services here will go completly offline for a longer time. Hopefully just for a few hours, but it also can take up to 1-2 days because we want to make everything correctly.
For BF2142Tracker this also means that all the features that are currently not working (Server LiveView for example) here on this server, should finally work!

The 1.25 update is here and we wanted to say “Thank You” to all the players who visited the Beta servers and Forums to play and talk about the changes. Thanks to everyone who flew gunships, spammed APMs, and fired the SAAW at those gunships and transports so this update can continue the trend of improving the Battlefield for everyone’s enjoyment. Here is the final change list for 1.25:
Fixed PAC Titan geometry exploit: Players may no longer sink into the hull of the PAC titan to freely attack defenders, consoles and the core.
Fixed EU Titan geometry exploit: Players may no longer sink into the hull of the EU Titan to freely attack defenders, consoles and the core.
Fixed Squad Leader Drone bug: The spawn placement of the SL drone has been raised to prevent instances where the drone would kill the Squad Leader.
APM Tuning: The detection radius for Anti-Personnel Mines has been reduced. Players will need to walk much closer to APMs in order to set them off. The blast radius of the APM has also been decreased.
Fixed radar grenade bug: The bug which caused the radar grenade to sometimes not appear on players’ mini-map has been fixed.
Fixed Bridge at Remagen Exploit: Players will no longer be able to move inside the west facing slope on the bridge.
Moding addition: Editing for ‘Physics. AirDensityZeroAtHeight’ has been added.
Moding addition: The command ‘object.listObjectsofTemplate’ has been re-added to the rcon_invoke command list.
Improved SAAW missile tracking: The SAAW will now consistently track all airborne targets. The missiles still require visual lock to be maintained in order to seek targets.
Improved Gunship missile tracking: The Gunship missiles will now correctly track all other airborne targets. Please note that the missile behavior when fired at ground targets is unchanged
Improved Gunship Gunner Cannon: The projectile speed and damage for the gunner position cannon has been increased for both gunships.
Static AA missile tracking improvement: The EMP missiles fired from the static AA has been improved to properly track when locked on to enemy ships.
Static AA Missile lock on range decreased: The range which static AA may lock onto ships has been reduced to allow ships ‘spaces of safety’ around the maps.
Fixed Gunship and Transport Ship Active Defense: A tail section for each of these ships was not properly covered by active defense. This has been corrected to fully protect all ships. Please note that the visual effect for active defense has not changed.
Gunship TV Missile Adjustment: Damage for Gunship TV guided missiles has been slightly increased
Fixed fence exploit: Bullet deviation has been added to all fences to prevent a game play exploit. Please note that players behind fences will be more difficult to hit at medium-long ranges due to this change
Duplicate CD- Key issue: Changes to the CD key check to help prevent issues where players receive a duplicate cd-key error when joining servers.
LMG Adjustments: The Bianchi and Shuko have been normalized in their settling rates to correct a minor imbalance.
Automatic Drone adjustment: Health points for the Sentry Gun, Accipiter and Otus drones have been reduced.
Sentry Gun targeting adjustment: Sentry guns will now take slightly longer to fire on their targets. The sight range for the sentry has also been slightly reduced.
Fixed Medic Hub bug: Fixed a bug where players would occasionally receive a new medical hub immediately after it was deployed
As we begin to enjoy the warmer days here in Stockholm our sights to the coming summer and the plans to continue improving Battlefield. One event we hope to make a regular occurrence for our players is to ‘Challenge DICE’. So far we have met two excellent teams on the 2142 Battlefield. The PAC has secretly moved into the abandoned cities Europe In a desperate gamble to gain the upper hand in the struggle for survival. To avoid destruction the European Union must rally to dislodge the PAC forces from their abandoned homeland.
Emphasizing close-quarters combat, Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike features the new Conquest Assault game mode, and three new maps, including the infamous WWII battle scene at the Bridge at Remagen, an Alpine Titan docking harbour in Port Bavaria and a claustrophobic showdown in the Liberation of Leipzig. The booster pack also features new vehicles including the EU's heavily armed IFV Goliath and the PAC's hovering light IFV Hachimoto in addition to new persistence, new gameplay and more.
Today we are releasing the latest update for Battlefield 2142.
In this update we have addressed a number of issues and game play concerns:
Fixed Pod Control Exploit - Players may no longer exploit the assault pods to 'surf' around the maps.
Removed the stats category for the PK-74 AR-Rocket: All kills with this weapon are calculated into the statistics for the main assault kit weapon
Fixed co-op server crash: Servers will no longer crash when attempting to rotate to co-op mode with players joined into squads
Added correct flag for Czech Republic.
Fixed PDS-1 sonar system interference with UAV. Soldiers are now shown correctly on UAV when PDS-1 is activated.
Change to Heal and Repair Point Awarding: Heal and repair points awarded after a 50% heal / repair instead of 100% heal / repair.
Fixed tracking of hours with the medic hub in BFHQ: Medic hub hours shown in BFHQ has been corrected.
Fixed Squad leader drone exploit. Removed the possibility to use drones as a stairway to heaven.
Fixed the Rorsch crosshair misalignment: The crosshair should now be correctly centered while not zoomed.
Change to Out of Bounds Damage: We have changed the out of bounds damage system to immediately kill players after being out of bounds for 15 seconds. Please note that the total time a player can be out of bounds has not changed. This fix will help prevent stat padding exploits.
Ranked Server APM setting hard coded: Anti-personelle mines are now always set to "Friendly fire off" on ranked servers.
Fixed an exploit using the reactor core door: Soldiers can no longer conceal themselves by moving back against the reactor core door.
The correct message is now shown when trying to join a full server.

We wanted to thank everyone who took the time to beta test this update and provide feedback to us. We have archived all feedback and will be reviewing everything that did not make it into this update for future updates.
Today we would like to announce to all our players the coming release of the Battlefield 2142 Northern Strike booster pack! There is a press release going out tomorrow, along with a trailer showing the action in one of the new maps. This addition to the Battlefield universe contains new content to expand the war for the survival deep into the frigid wastelands of Europe. With three new maps players will be challenged to engage in Titan and Conquest game play to secure victory for their team. Both sides have brought forward new vehicles to aid their forces along with 10 new unlocks available to soldiers through both standard and field unlock systems. We also wanted to inform players that we will be working with Combat Studios Testing to host a closed beta in the near future.
That's right soldiers, a new patch for Battlefield 2142 was released today!
It will update your game to version 1.10 and fix the following problems:
